RESERVOIR DOGS
One can not say the name Quentin Tarantino, and not think of his movies. Here is a director that knows how to wow his crowd. When it comes to bizarre scenarios between criminals, Tarantino’s first feature, Reservoir Dogs, is in a category all its own.
Reservoir Dogs (1992), is an action packed movie that keeps its viewers on the edge of their seat. The scenes shuffle back and forth in time to reveal certain important aspects of the characters. This is a unique device, because all of the characters accept one, are experienced criminals who know very little about one another. Each criminal is assigned a code name (in color) by Joe who has gathered them to complete a simple heist. Something goes wrong, and the plan leaves them hanging dry. They know that one in their group has betrayed them and is inline with the police. Slowly, they begin to suspect one another and then the blood bath ensues. Like any good Tarantino movie, Reservoir Dogs is packed with violence and blood shed. It is also packed with an amazing cast of characters. The movie stars: Harvey Keitel (Mr. White); Steve Buscemi (Mr. Pink); Michael Madsen (Mr. Blonde); Tim Roth (Mr. Orange); Chris Penn (Nice Guy Eddie); Lawrence Tierney (Joe Cabot); Quentin Tarantino (Mr. Brown); Eddie Bunker (Mr. Blue); and Randy Brooks (Holdaway). Reservoir Dogs is a movie riddled with constant deception. Its characters are lively, and certainly “colorful”. Don’t hesitate to join the heist.
