WHO ARE REN & STIMPY? JOHN KRICFALUSI SNICK AT NIGHT FLUSHING JOHN IT'S IN THE CARDS ADULT PARTY CARTOON STIMPIFIED MAGIC NOSE GOBLINS ONWARD AND UPWARD WHO ARE REN & STIMPY Who are Ren and Stimpy' Ren Hoek is a hyperactive Chihuahua with a short fuse and Stimpson J. Cat is happy-go-lucky less-than-quick-on-the-draw heavy set kitty. Together they share most bizarre buddy adventures the silver screen has ever seen. JOHN KRICFALUSI When John was originally approached by Nickelodeon to do a cartoon series he was afraid of losing control of his beloved creations. At the time he was all about "George Liquor" and "Jimmy the Idiot Boy" so instead of using those characters he gave Nick a show about their pets and the show, "Ren & Stimpy" was born. John's fears were well founded seeing how Nickelodeon did eventually fire him from the show. SNICK AT NIGHT The adventures of the nasty little Chihuahua and his buddy the big fat red cat had some execs at Nick wondering what they were thinking letting this stuff on their channel. Cutting edge is what it amounts to and a fanbase that enviable among all animated characters. But who could blame them? The story lines were pushing it, even if they were outrageous and hilarious in doing so. FLUSHING JOHN So as the story goes, Nickelodeon couldn't quite handle John Kricfalusi and his creations, so they nixed John and took over the show. Strange though, it didn't change all that much, but it didn't grow either. So when Turner was looking to resurrect the show anew, they went to the man himself and now after many years of absence John is once again at the reins of the Chihuahua and cat duo. IT'S IN THE CARDS On one adventure Ren and Stimpy become rubber nibble salesmen. Another one found them as security guards at the Lincoln Memorial and they inadvertently break off the head of Lincoln. Another episode had Stimpy removing fat from his butt cheeks so he could build Ren some peck implants. ADULT PARTY CARTOON John has come clean on his promise to his fans, "Ren is still an asshole and Stimpy is still a retard." John is back at the helm of his creations. Ren & Stimpy are now part of the Spike TV new evening line up called "Adult Party Cartoon". Undoubtedly designed to capitalize on the extreme success of the Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim" evening cartoon line up. All new half-hour episodes have been created and it looks like the show has finally found a home it deserves. STIMPIFIED Stimpy, beyond being a big fat dumb cat, is an inventor of novel ideas and creations, such as the Cheese-o-phone, the remote control razor and the stay put socks. So on one of Ren's typically unhappy days, Stimpy decides to create something that will keep his buddy full of joy. He makes a remote-controlled helmet that forces Ren to stay blissful and of course trouble ensues. The coolest part of this episode, called "Stimpy's Invention" is that it features the hit tune, "Happy Happy Joy Joy". We here at www.t-shirtking.com love singing that song on our way into work every morning. MAGIC NOSE GOBLINS At times Ren and Stimpy will refer to "magic nose goblins" to you the viewer, you will know these as dried nasal mucus otherwise called boogers. Ren and Stimpy gain their confusion because another definition of booger is "an imaginary monster used to frighten children". ONWARD AND UPWARD As promised to his fans, the first episode of the new "Ren & Stimpy Show" is called "Onward and Upward" and is an entire episode dedicated to gross-out jokes.
