PACMAN
One of the most popular arcade games to ever be invented is Pacman.
Pacman has many outstanding historical facts that are linked to it. It is known to be the number one coin-operated game sold in history. In fact, in the first year that Pacman was produced there were approximately one hundred thousand Pacman machines that were sold world-wide.
The idea of Pacman was originally conceived after inspiration struck the creator, Namco’s Tohru Iwatani, when he ordered a pizza that had one piece missing from the box. The game quickly became a huge success and not long after its introduction into the arcade world, it became a cartoon series in 1982.
Pacman was so popular that Namco released Ms. Pacman, which was also successful, but never managed to outshine the original. Both of these games are still widely produced and played today. The Pacman games are fun, simple and addictive. As you play the game, you go through various levels that become more challenging then the last. As the Yellow missing piece of pizza man, you must collect points by eating the dots that are in the level; however you must beware of the evil Pinky, Inkey, Blinky and Clyde who will follow you. You must avoid these four little evil colored ghosties at all cost, or you will experience “Game Over”.
