The Hummer was a vehicle that was produced and made popular since the early 1980’s. The reason for the Hummer’s creation was for the US Army. It was the newly designed and effective combat vehicle from AM General. The Hummer received its name from the Military, who called it High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (also known as the HMMWV). However, the vehicle was soon to be nicknamed the Humvee.

It was not until the year of 1990, that AM General created a new model of this Humvee vehicle, which they called the Hummer. The general public began to purchase Hummers, and they still do now. Today there are two different models of the Hummer that are produced. You can choose from the H1 (which is the larger and more expensive vehicle), and the H2 (the smaller and less expensive choice).
