EVERCLEAR

Debuting in 1994 with World of Noise, had many critics comparing them to Nirvana.

Everclear originated in Portland, Oregon in 1992. The group consists of: Art Alexakis (vocals, guitar), Craig Montoya (bass), and Greg Eklund (drums). Before the group members got together, they were in other bands.

After their debuting album, they produced Sparkle and Fade in 1995. With a total of five albums the band is still going strong today. They’ve been constantly compared to Nirvana, due to the fact that the band is very similar in music and the group being a trio. No one likes to be compared to another. It makes it seem like they are ripping off music. After Kurt Cobain committed suicide the attention on Everclear increased from the media. Not wanting to be seen as a take on Nirvana, Everclear worked hard to produce albums that would distinguish them for their natural musical talent. It wasn’t until their release of American Movie Vol. Two: Good Time For A Bad Attitude, that the band was finally given the respect they deserved for their musical talent.
Everclear’s music is the pop-punk vibe that has a following of fans. It’s no wonder that such merchandise like T-Shirts are so popular among rock groups. The two cool T-Shirts devoted to Everclear give the impression of their fun and punky nature. The take on the South Park characters is a real classic. The shirt with the funky car, also demonstrates the need for punk music. Get your own Everclear T-Shirt and join in their musical jamboree.
