INTERNATIONAL MAN OF PARODY

It's been three years since Austin Powers went toe-to-toe with his arch nemesis, Dr. Evil. The evil doctor and Mini-Me have been held in a maximum-security prison during that time and the film opens with their daring escape!

Austin is called into action once again, but this time he has to save his dad, Nigel Powers (played by Michael Caine), England’s most renowned super spy. Dr. Evil and Mini-Me have teamed up with Goldmember to kidnap Nigel and exact a time-traveling scheme to, once again, take over the world!

Austin chases the villains through time, stopping in 1975 to elicit the help of his old flame, Foxxy Cleopatra (played by Destiny’s Child lead singer – Beyonce Knowles), she’s a super sexy streetwise super agent of the CIA. Joined at the hip, Austin and Foxxy must find a way to stop Dr. Evil and newcomer, Goldmember, from wreaking havoc on the denizens of planet Earth.

OH GROOVY, BABY!

Here’s some hard-hitting news for all you die hard movie-goers. New Line and MGM were in heavy negotiations to allow the new comedy spoof permission to use its original "Goldmember" title. After many arm wrestling matches, MGM allowed New Line to use the title that closely resembles their James Bond film, “Gold Finger”. The price was that they had to attach trailers for the new Bond film "Die Another Day" and other MGM films to "Goldmember" and "The Lord of the Rings – The Two Towers" at New Line's expense. If the deal had not gone through, New Line had several other titles as back-ups which now may be used for future sequels to the mega-hit series, they included - "Live and Let Shag," "You Only Shag Thrice" "Never Say Member Again" and "License to Shag". Yeah, Baby, Yeah!

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SEXY, SUGAR

Myers is a quadruple threat this time out, playing Austin, Dr. Evil, Fat Bastard and Goldmember. However, the film is also splattered with famous faces. Some of which you just won’t believe until you see it. On the list are – Tom Cruise, Danny DeVito, Gwyneth Paltrow, Quincy Jones, Kevin Spacey, Fred Savage, Steven Spielberg, The Osbournes and Britney Spears.They all play themselves in the film. Adding smiles to the rib tickling, Britney Spears plays herself as the girlfriend of the menacing Mini-Me! In the film she’s in the middle of a concert when Austin jumps up and fights to get a spot on stage with her, at which point she asks him "Is it true what they say about you?" He replies by whispering sweet nothings in her ear. Oh Behave!
