This is a band that was formed in 1997, and at this time consisted of three members, Rob Doran (bass & vocals), Matt Skiba (vocals & guitar) and Glenn Porter (drums & vocals). Each of these men were originally from other rock groups that had all become dead in the water. The three met and formed the group Alkaline Trio, and soon released their first album “For Your Lungs Only”. After the release of this album they lost one of their group members, Rob Doran, but they soon replaced him with Dan Andriano.

After their first album and loss of original band member, the Alkaline Trio really began to make a name for themselves they produced a number of albums such as “Goddamnit”, “Good Morning”, “All on Black”, “Alkaline Trio”, “Split Series Vol. 5” and “From Here to Infirmary”. Their music attracted fans for its unique and hard sounds that were both dark and liquid in rhythm. The punk sounds of their songs like “I lied my face off”, “Maybe I’ll catch fire”, “Madam Me” and “Jaked on Green Bears”, are many of the favorites of fans. The band progressed magnificently and in the year 2000 they lost their drummer, but soon acquired Mike Felumlee to take the spot.
